All schools in Kenya will remain closed until next January because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Final year exams, usually taken in October and November, have been canceled.
Education Minister, George Magoha, said students would repeat a year as schools had closed in mid-March, three months after the school calendar had begun.
The only exception has been for schoolchildren in grades four, eight, and 12 who were allowed to return to class on Monday 12th October ending months of the closure of all educational institutions in the country designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
